When she moved, the movers loaded everything onto the truck — then refused to deliver a single item until she paid thousands of dollars more than the original quote. It's called a hostage load, and it's illegal. She was alone, vulnerable, and had no choice. I was furious — and I made a decision that day that I would build a company where that kind of predatory behavior simply doesn't exist.

Movers load your belongings onto the truck, then refuse to deliver them until you pay thousands more than the original quote. Your possessions are held ransom. This is illegal under federal law (49 U.S.C. § 13707).
A company offers a suspiciously low phone or online estimate to win your business, then dramatically inflates the price on moving day — claiming the volume or weight was "much higher than expected."
Fraudulent "movers" demand a large upfront cash deposit to secure your date, then disappear — no truck, no crew, no refund. Moving day arrives and no one shows up.
On long-distance moves billed by weight, some movers artificially inflate the shipment weight by loading extra items onto the scale or by not taring the truck properly before weighing.
A sales team (broker) gives you a low quote, then sells your move to a third-party carrier who has never agreed to that price. The actual movers show up and refuse to honor the quote, leaving you with no leverage on moving day.

For safety reasons, we cannot transport hazardous materials (propane tanks, gasoline, paint), perishable food, or live plants on long-distance moves. We'll provide a full list during your estimate.
